Daily Prompt: A place from your past or childhood, one that you’re fond of, is destroyed. Write it a memorial.
Childhood,
Love,
A playground,
Dream-like clouds,
Shaped like your favorite
Stuffed animals,
A rare type of purity,
And yet, it’s all a game.
Childhood,
Is just about a game,
Until one day,
You look around,
And nothing is the same,
You’ve lost the game.
Neighborhood alleys,
That seemed like forests,
You could get lost in,
And city lakes,
That seemed like oceans,
You could drown in,
Are no longer what you painted,
In your little infant mind.
Childhood makes you
Think the unimaginable,
In the haze of the city,
Where you carelessly
Played in the sand,
While the sun heated
The back of your neck,
In the warm spring afternoon.
Linda! :)
jajaj gracias! :)
Childhood.
Innocence
Lost.
Buried beneath the sandbox.
Swing for the stars.
Jump off at just the right time.
You will be old before you know it.
First kisses.
Holding hands.
Scrapes and scars.
Childhood
Innocence
Lost.
Oh, this is awesome Benny! I really like it :) Thank you for posting, I love seeing what other people write – especially when it’s so beautiful.
